      <image:title>Events - WOW Comedy Gala - Ellen Briggs</image:title>
<image:caption>Ellen never set out to do comedy. She was writing a book and joined a comedy course to sharpen up her writing, did a 5 minute comedy set at the end of it and got hooked. Shortly after that first step onto stage, she was a finalist in the prestigious RAW Comedy competition and won a National Foxtel competition that was voted on by peers and managers in the industry. She has never looked back. Ellen is funny. Surprisingly funny. And warm. When Ellen walks on stage, people listen. So much of comedy is about making a connection with the audience and she does that the minute she walks out. Audiences fall in love with her which gives her the ability to lead them into places other comedians can’t. Comedy comes naturally to her and relating to her comes instantly to audiences. Regionally based, she is as comfortable hosting national conferences such as the Agricultural Show Society and Australian Poultry Association as she is performing in premier comedy clubs such as The Comics Lounge in Melbourne, the Sit Down Comedy Club in Brisbane, or a small intimate comedy venue.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Events - Building Business Together - Mary-Anne Anderson</image:title>
<image:caption>Mary-Anne Anderson has been a small business operator since the 80’s and some years of experience as a solo-founder. The entrepreneurship journey is not unfamiliar. Joining the global SheEO community (now Coralus) in 2018 as an Activator and discovering the still persistent obstacles women face in accessing capital to grow their enterprises, rather than sitting complaining about the finance industry, she decided to dive in and do something about it. It all started with one small commercial loan to a woman founder. The experience was powerful, transformative for both the business owner receiving the funding and for Mary-Anne herself. It started her on a mission to not only do more commercial loans, but to contribute towards shifting the system – one that is entrenched in power and control, blocking women routinely from accessing capital. Amali Capital was created. Amali is experimental finance working with women in the Coralus community. It is intended to be supportive, catalytic, non-dilutive, non-extractive, low documentation and flexible, to work with the capital requirements of founders and their enterprises, in partnerships towards systems shifts. A group of those early SheEO Activators now work together as WOELF (Women Owned Enterprises Loan Fund), forging ahead with advocacy to government, corporates and philanthropists, seeking out partnerships to undertake pilot loan funds and shift outcomes for women in small business.</image:caption>

<image:caption>When Quentin Bryce was sworn in as Australia’s first female governor-general in 2008, she made history. It was one of many firsts in a trailblazing career dedicated to reform and serving community. Her early childhood in a western Queensland bush town shaped her sense of self and her destiny. Young Quentin dreamed of changing the world and then set out to do it. She was the first from her school to go to university and among the first women admitted to the Queensland Bar. In revolutionary times her advocacy for human rights – especially for women, children and First Nations Australians – underpinned her every role, which included teaching in the male-dominated university law faculty, federal sex discrimination commissioner, CEO of the National Childcare Accreditation Council, principal of Sydney’s Women’s College, governor of Queensland and Australia’s governor-general. Mother of five and grandmother to twelve, it is her partnership with soulmate Michael Bryce and the love of family, enduring friendships and belief in community that have sustained her. Her passion for the arts and elemental connection to Australia’s ancient landscape feed her soul.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Events - WOW Schools Day - Mandy Nolan</image:title>
<image:caption>Mandy Nolan is a force of nature. She's not just a comedian; she's an author, journalist, activist, educator, humour therapist, a mum of 5, and a bloody good sort – truly "never just one thing!" From pioneering the Byron Bay comedy scene and teaching Hannah Gadsby, to her acclaimed national show 'Women Like Us' and innovative 'Stand UP for Dementia' therapy, Mandy uses her wit to spark change and challenge the status quo. She's a passionate voice for the unheard, a "trouble maker" who reframes it as a "change maker," ready to use a joke or a vote to drive progress.</image:caption>
