Studio C
The WOW Healing Space is a very special space in the Festival, hosted by CEED Healing, this space will be available throughout the day if you need a quite space to reflect and decompress.
Join proud Gimuy Walubara Yidinji woman Evie Evernden for a unique workshop that combines the grounding practice of traditional weaving with mindful breathing and connection.
Drawing on the wisdom passed down through generations, Evie creates a welcoming space where participants can slow down, reconnect with themselves and others, and experience the therapeutic power of working with natural fibres. Through gentle guidance, you'll learn weaving techniques while exploring how breath, rhythm and creativity can help calm the mind and foster a sense of wellbeing.
Facilitators
Evie Evernden
Evie is a proud Gimuy Walubara Yidinji woman who finds her strength and grounding by being on country, weaving, and deeply embracing her culture. Guided by the wisdom and teachings of her elders, she founded Digarra Creations — a small business dedicated to connecting community through the powerful passion of art.
Evie shares these sacred, generational practices with others, creating a safe space that embraces connection and healing through your hands. Her work bridges traditional knowledge with modern spaces, inviting participants to slow down, connect, and experience the grounding power of fibre art.
Tracy Gray
Tracy is a proud Gimuy Walubara Yidinji woman, she loves spending time on Country, being with family and keeping connected to culture through the things she enjoys doing. She has a strong interest in weaving, traditional dance, fishing, gathering natural materials and learning more about the cultural practices passed down through family and community.
For Tracy, weaving is about much more than making something — it is about sitting together, having a yarn, sharing stories, learning from each other and keeping culture strong. She enjoys creating spaces where people feel comfortable to connect, learn and share, and is always keen to keep building her own knowledge along the way.
