Laurie Koranski

Councillor City of Logan

Councillor Laurie Koranski was elected to Logan City Council in 2016 and in 2020 became the Chairperson of the City Lifestyle Committee.

Cr Koranski works hand in glove with the community to deliver improvements in education, health, the environment, parks, safety, roads and community services. She prides herself on being an active and engaged Councillor drawing upon her knowledge as a small business owner and experience as a community leader to capitalise on opportunities for the City.

Prior to becoming a Councillor, together with her husband Andrew, she owned and operated a successful Logan dental practice for more than two decades. During this time she volunteered as the president of the Logan Country Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Chair for Regional Development Australia Logan and Redlands and lent her voice to community action group VETO lobbying to protect the Logan River.

She has been a passionate advocate for cancer research serving as an ambassador for Cancer Council Queensland and is proud to be a strong voice for women in the City.
