WOW Schools Day is one of our favourite things to do, and for the first day we are taking the full program to the regions!!! Aligned with UN International Day of The Girl Child, designated in 2012 to highlight and address the many challenges girls face globally, and to promote girl’s empowerment and human rights.
The event will see years 10 & 11 students from across the region, come together for a full day’s program, with a panel conversation featuring some amazing young people doing great things! There will also be workshops, performances, and Speed Mentoring with over mentors from a range of diverse fields, highlighting opportunities and inspiring diverse ambitions.

WOW FEStIVAL CAIRNS 2026
Join us this September in Cairns, far north Queensland, as we celebrate the women of the region with a jam packed program of all your wow favourites, including:
Panel conversations informed by our local community consultation process, WOW Bites where you get to hear from everyday hero’s, a range of fun and informative workshops, local artisans in the WOW Marketplace, the WOW Healing Space where you can chill out and do some weaving; and an amazing line-up of performances and visual arts across the program.

This year WOW Australia will continue to partner with QPAC to host over 200 high school students in a full day of workshops, performances, and Speed Mentoring on the Wheel of Brisbane with over 100 mentors from a range of diverse fields, highlighting opportunities and inspiring diverse ambitions.
A special feature of the program will be a panel conversation with inspiring young change-makers hosted by Natasha Mitchell – WOW Big Ideas for broadcast by ABC Radio National.
