WOW IS COMING TO GLADSTONE!

WOW IS COMING TO GLADSTONE!

WOW GLADSTONE FESTIVAL PACKAGE

Your WOW Festival Saturday Pass includes all of the following and more:

At the heart of a WOW Festival are the conversations we need to have, led by people who have created change in their lives and in their communities.  These sessions explore many of the issues women, girls, boys and men have talked about during our consultation and ‘Think Ins’; challenges faced today by all those working towards a more gender equal world.

PANEL CONVERSATIONS

WOW Bites are short talks, readings and soapbox moments on a wide range of subjects designed to inspire, engage and introduce new ideas from local women and festival guests.

WOW BITES SESSIONS

WOW looks after your mind, body and soul!  If you want more action, to learn new skills or just want to relax and be pampered, join in one of our many workshop sessions which will cover a wide range of topics.

WORKSHOPS

WOW Marketplace & Healing Space

A unique feature of WOW Australia, the Healing Space provides an opportunity to take a break from the intensity of the conversations happening across the program.  You can start your day with Yoga or sit with a circle of weavers, participate in a yarning circle or facilitate meditation.  Whilst looking after your mind, body and soul at WOW we also provide opportunities to shop in the WOW Marketplace featuring local women-led business, artisans and service organisations.

In partnership with the Blue Mirror Gallery, we are delighted to present “Our Place”, an exhibition of female and female-identifying artists’ work from across the Gladstone region, 18 October – end November.  At the Festival “Women Weaving Water” all Festival goers will have an opportunity to contribute to the community collaborative installation created by Christine Holden and the local Gladstone community.   These exhibitions are proudly supported by The Regional Arts Development Fund.

EXHIBITIONS

A WOW favourite – an opportunity to share your challenges, exchange ideas and stories and potentially identify a new mentor.  The Wine Down, including informal speed mentoring, will take place on Saturday as the final session as an opportunity for all Festival goers to connect with each other and WOW speakers after the day’s conversation and before the final performance.
