Jane Milburn: The Maker Within

Jane Milburn from Textile Beat explores the slow clothing movement and teaches you how to make colourful rope from your old teeshirts. Jane Milburn is a sustainability consultant and author of Slow Clothing: finding meaning in what we wear. Jane is a lifelong slow fashion practitioner who set up Textile Beat in 2013 to speak out about ways to reduce our material footprint in a climate-changed world. This purposeful work grew from Jane’s love of natural fibres, qualifications in agricultural science and rural leadership, and career in rural advocacy.
