WOW Cairns: Interviews from Far North Queensland

This year has been all about Regional Women, and we’re pleased to present these interviews, filmed in Cairns in the wake of our WOW Cairns event postponement.

Caroline de Costa in conversation with Dr. Natalie Kiesey-Calding

Author – ‘The Women’s Doc’
In her recently published memoir, ‘The Women’s Doc’, Caroline de Costa tells stories from her extensive career as an obstetrician with more than fifty years’ experience.

In this interview with Dr. Natalie Kiesey-Calding, she discusses the development of medical technology, the insidious creep of the language of ‘normal’, smuggling contraceptive devices, and the emancipation of the clitoris.

Presented by WOW Australia in partnership with the Cairns Tropical Writer’s Festival.
