Growing up on a sheep, cattle & cropping property at Springsure in the 70’s – the eldest child of a rags to riches couple - rural life & rural communities were always part of life.  The west called & Tracy attended what was the Longreach Pastoral College – the start of an infatuation with this region hence her return in 2016 to purchase the Wellshot Hotel, live once again on a sheep & cattle property & also become an elected member of the Longreach Regional Council.  You ask “what happened in between”? She met her now husband Paul, raised two beautiful daughters, grew sugarcane for twenty years, was a sugar chemist & recovered from some of the darkest times of her life.
